School Council Meetings

Here is some information for people planning to come to a School Council meeting:

We gather in the Staff Room from 7:00 p.m., to chat over coffee, etc.

At 7:30 prompt, the meeting is called to order and the agenda is followed. Meetings never run past 9 p.m.

The agenda and supporting documents appear on the website and in the School Office a week before the meeting (i.e., on the Wednesday morning).

You are expected to have read these documents before the meeting. We will not, for example, read through the minutes or any of the reports at the meeting. We will concentrate on action items and decisions that need to be made.

If you want to have a copy of the minutes and supporting documents during the meeting, please print them out (or pick up a copy at the School Office beforehand - this closes sometime in the late afternoon), and bring them with you. In the interests of efficient use of resources, there will only be a few copies of these at the meeting.

This way of working is designed to make the meeting itself an efficient use of our valuable time. No doubt it will evolve! Suggestions are welcome!
